Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about our mobile denture services and how we can help you.

- How does a mobile denture clinic work?

We come to you! Whether you're at home, in an aged care facility, or retirement village, we bring everything needed to assess, fit, adjust, or repair your dentures. Appointments are conducted just like in a regular clinic — but in the comfort of your own surroundings.

- Is the quality the same as a regular denture clinic?

Yes, absolutely. We use the same high-quality materials, equipment, and techniques as we do in our physical clinic. You receive the same level of care, professionalism, and precision — just with added convenience.

- Does a mobile denture clinic cost more than a regular denture clinic?

Yes, a mobile denture clinic typically costs a little more than a traditional clinic due to additional factors like travel time, on-site setup, and the use of more adaptable, mobile-friendly materials. These costs help ensure we can deliver the same high-quality service in the comfort of your own home or care facility. For many patients, especially those with mobility challenges or time constraints, the convenience and personalised care far outweigh the modest extra cost.

- What areas do you service?

We cover a wide range of suburbs across the Wollongong region. If you're nearby our Oak Flats based clinic, you’re always welcome to book into our Oak Flats clinic instead!

- Can I claim the dentures on my private health fund ?

If you have denture cover, then you will be able to claim a portion of the fees back from your private health fund. We can provide you with item numbers so you can receive an estimate from your health on the gap payable.

- Do I need any special setup at home for the appointment?

No special setup is required. We bring all the necessary tools and equipment — we just need a kitchen sink and a clean, well-lit space such as a kitchen table or lounge area to work comfortably.

- How long does a typical appointment take?

Most initial consultations or denture fittings take around 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the service required. We always allow extra time so you never feel rushed and all your questions can be answered.

- How do I book a mobile denture appointment?

You can book by phone, email, or through our online booking system. We’ll confirm your location, talk through your needs, and find a time that suits you best.

- What if I prefer to come into the clinic instead?

That’s absolutely fine. Our Oak Flats based denture clinic is open to all patients, and you're welcome to choose the option that suits you best — mobile or in-clinic, with the same team and same quality care.
